Basketball season has arrived, and we are practicing hard and competing with pride. We began the season with two great wins at Holy Cross. The afternoon started off with our 7th/8th grade girls' A-team making a statement with great team play. They won, 23-8!
The boys followed with a strong win of their own. They were tied at the half and ended up winning, 38-21!
Three of our teams traveled to New Covenant School on December 6. Our 7th/8th girls' B-team began the afternoon games with a loss but played an excellent second half.
Our 7th/8th Girls' A-team competed against New Covenant's Junior Varsity team. It was a great opportunity for us to compete against older and more experienced players. We only trailed by two at the half, but our shots would not fall in the second half. We lost, 29-14.
The 7th/8th Boys' B-team lost 28-19.
Wednesday, had our 7th/8th grade teams battling North Cross. Our boys' A- and B-teams traveled to North Cross and our girls' A-team competed here at home.
Our boys' A-team won a close game 31-25, and our boys' B-team lost 27-21.
The girls' team cruised past North Cross 36-8. Holly Koudelka led all scorers with 16; Lily Lewis and Ashley Dietz chipped in eight apiece.
