Targeting the core curriculum areas of reading, writing, and math, Jump Start Middle School will ease students into the new year with competence and confidence. Specialized reading instruction will be provided in vocabulary acquisition and background knowledge, as well as comprehension strategies and word attack skills. Students will receive individualized guidance in writing fluency, sentence structure, and grammar applications. Focusing on the demonstration of content mastery through writing, students will work on the development of basic writing skills as well as composition enrichment strategies. In math, a review of the end-of-year concepts will allow students to work on skills under the close supervision of a teacher.

Jump Start Lower School will feature specialized instruction in language arts, including reading and writing, as well as math. Whether a student requires a simple review of a few concepts or more targeted support, Jump Start will provide them with the opportunity to practice content and strengthen skills. In addition, lower school students have the option to participate in an additional reading clinic, designed to support them in developing a full toolbox of reading strategies.
