Summer Programs

Join the summer fun at James River Day School! There are many opportunities for engaging enrichments (rising K through 8th grade), and James River offers our 8-week Summer Day Camp for kids in rising first grade through age 12.

Cheryl Middleton

Cheryl Middleton joined the faculty of James River in August 2020 to teach second grade. Cheryl earned a B.A. in Early Childhood Education as well as a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Lynchburg College. Cheryl has been a star teacher in Bedford County Schools for nearly thirty years, where she has taught kindergarten, first grade, and second grade. She also served as an assistant principal for several years. She is a Google Certified Educator (Level 1). Prior to teaching in Bedford, Cheryl taught in Lynchburg City Schools for four years.
