Mrs. Erica Lemasters

Erica Lemasters is the Executive Assistant to the Head of School Office, offering support to our Head and Associate Head. Erica began working at James River as a substitute teacher in January 2020, shifting in August 2020 to the role of Substitute Coordinator. She then shifted to serving as one of our kindergarten teachers for a year, Today, in addition to her role as Executive Assistant, she continues to serve our community as Substitute Coordinator. 
 
Erica earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She has taught at multiple preschools and a Montessori school, has worked as a one-on-one resource specialist in a public school, and has substituted and taught for multiple grade levels from kindergarten through 12th grade (in public and independent schools). Erica also holds multiple yoga teaching certifications and has taught Mommy and Me Yoga, Kids Yoga, and Hot Yoga to adults at a studio and has taught Power Vinyasa Yoga at multiple colleges to students, faculty, and staff.
 
She believes every child deserves the love, care, and special one-on-one attention everyone at James River gives to all students each and every day. Erica said, "I have the utmost respect for the faculty and staff here at James River, and I feel truly blessed to be part of this team." 
 
In her spare time, she loves reading to her two children (who attend JRDS), playing board games with her family, finding shells at the beach, practicing yoga and meditation, drinking coffee, and eating anything chocolate!
