Ann F. Parker

Mrs. Parker came to James River in February 2005, bringing a wealth of administrative and communications experience. In her career prior to James River, Ann worked as a manager in women's clothing retail, in customer service for the phone company, and as a florist and artist. In her job immediately prior to joining the staff of James River, she was the communications and administrative manager for a large church. Ann earned her bachelor's degree from the College of William and Mary. Today, she is James River's Director of Communications. She is also a member of the School's Advancement Team.

Ann and her husband, Malcolm, have five children between them. Ann has three adult stepsons: Mac lives in North Carolina, Nic lives in Lynchburg, while Brian and his wife, Laura, live in St. Louis, Missouri. Ann and Malcolm's two youngest children, Neal and Emily, attended James River. Neal went on to graduate from William and Mary and now lives in Seattle. Emily has since graduated from James Madison University and now works for the Academy Center of the Arts here in Lynchburg as their technical director.

In her spare time, Ann follows her vocation as an artist, creating paintings, drawings, pottery, and small sculptures. She enjoys costume designing for local productions, gardening, photography, sewing, reading, and antiquing, and she serves on the board of the Lynchburg Area William & Mary Alumni Association Chapter.
