The students train each day during their physical education classes in the weeks prior to the run. The day of the "One Miler," the whole school turns out to cheer the fourth graders as they run. This year's event was especially touching because of the caring shown to a classmate who had trouble during the run. Toward the end of the video, you'll see a large group goes back to run alongside that student who was struggling. They wanted to make sure everyone was able to finish and felt supported. It was a great moment of character.
