Summer Programs

Join the summer fun at James River Day School! There are many opportunities for engaging enrichments (rising K through 8th grade), and James River offers our 8-week Summer Day Camp for kids in rising first grade through age 12.

An Exciting Week

This is an exciting week with both Leap Day and Grandparents and Friends Day.

We look forward to welcoming families to James River and showcasing our students and their teachers. We have a wonderful program of student performances lined up, with singing, drumming, movement to music, plus band, orchestra, and choir ensembles. Every student from kindergarten through 8th grade has a part in tomorrow's program! To make it even more exciting, we are anticipating an audience of close to 300 grandparents and friends!

Also beginning on Friday, Riverviews Artspace will exhibit our lower school students’ artwork in their Emerging Artist Gallery. Riverviews will also host an opening reception on Friday, March 1, from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. as a part of their First Friday event.

I am so proud of all our young artists, whether they are performing or creating. Thank you, grandparents, parents, friends, families, and our faculty and staff for making our community a remarkable place to work and learn.
