What A School Should Be

In grades K through eight at James River, learning is approached with wonder. Students are encouraged to be curious and inquisitive. They are given ample opportunities to explore their creativity. Children feel safe to be themselves and try new things, knowing that a mistake is an opportunity to learn.
At James River, teachers, administrators, and staff know the children as students and as people. Victories large and small are celebrated, while challenges are met with tenacity. Learning is a journey taken together with joy.
