Save Barbie!

Mrs. Hardison's algebra classes participated in the highly anticipated Barbie Bungee Jumping Lab recently. Students conducted an experiment to see how far Barbie bungees with two, four, eight, and ten rubber bands. Students then generated a linear regression equation, which they used to predict how many rubber bands Barbie would need to safely jump off the fire escape without plummeting to her doom! We had an unprecedented number of Barbie "deaths" this year balanced by three of the most thrilling safe Barbie bungee jumps of all time! But, more importantly, the students learned how important careful calculations are in the real world! See a super-short stop motion video of our fun.
