Meghan Crowther

Hired in 2014, Mrs. Crowther teaches sixth- and seventh-grade writing and eighth-grade English. She earned a B.A. in English from Clemson University and an M.A. in Liberal Studies with a concentration in English from Hollins University.

Before working at James River Day School, she taught as an adjunct professor of English at Central Virginia Community College. Her other work experiences included serving as the youth minister for St. John’s Episcopal Church and the Director of Christian Education at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.

Meghan lives on a farm in Campbell County with her husband and two daughters, a dog named Pippi Longstockings, some Highland cattle, and a donkey! Her favorite activities are reading British literature, watching the Turner Classic Movies channel, and playing tennis.
