Tifany Briggs

Tifany Briggs joined the faculty of James River Day School in August 2023 as a fourth-grade teacher. With over twenty years of classroom experience, Tifany is best described as a student-centered teacher. She previously served as a fifth- and sixth-grade teacher at North Woods School in Minnesota. Prior to that, she was a kindergarten through sixth-grade special education teacher.

 

Tifany and her family relocated to Virginia when her oldest son enrolled at Liberty University. Tifany, her husband Nate, their two sons, and two dogs, Soia and Annie, are quite excited about Virginia winters after so many years in Minnesota. In her free time, Tifany enjoys a good book and growing things.

 

Mrs. Briggs said this about choosing James River, “What began as a small idea to relocate [to Lynchburg] blossomed once I visited James River Day School. I basically felt at home and welcomed from the moment I walked through the door!”
