Join the summer fun at James River Day School! There are many opportunities for engaging enrichments (rising K through 8th grade), and James River offers our 8-week Summer Day Camp for kids in rising first grade through age 12.

Explore Art
Come join Dr. Hellewell and Mrs. Wright for a week of fun with art. Explore painting, sculpture with air-dried clay and mixed media. Learn about the elements of art and influential artists. In addition to instructional time, there will be time for independent exploration and creation.
Instructors: Mrs. Gessi Wright (grades 1-2) and Dr. Sarah Hellewell (grades 3-5). May be adjusted depending on final numbers.
Ages: Rising 1st through rising 5th
Dates/Time: June 21-25, 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.
Cost: $150
Minimum class size: 8 Maximum class size: 20
Consider pairing this enrichment program with Summer STEAM Challenges and your child will be engaged from 9:00 a.m.-2:30 p.m. A supervised lunch and recess time is available for a $25 fee. Sign up for this when signing your child up for the two camps. Students will need to bring their own lunch.
