We teach a hands-on approach to music, where students in every grade level (K-4) are actively involved in performing, listening to, and creating music. Students are offered performance venues within the school and community through annual classroom musicals and participation in concerts and events both in school and out. In fourth grade, students choose between playing a band or an orchestra instrument.

In middle school, we take a performance-based approach to music learning. Students are actively involved in music-making by performing in the Cardinal Band, Choir, or Orchestra. In a typical year, students participate in multiple performances: Winter and Spring Concerts, Grandparents' Day, Awards Ceremony, and Graduation. Middle school music ensembles also travel to Kings Dominion annually to participate in the Festival of Music.
