Students will learn about the "rules" of photography (and how to break them!). Students will learn the basics of using a digital camera: lighting and how to make adjustments to ISO, aperture and shutter speed for various environments, composition, and editing. After each lesson, students will have a chance to try out what they learned with various subjects. Students will also learn to speak about their work and critique others' work in a respectful and useful way.

Ages: Rising 5th through rising 8th graders
Dates/Time: June 21-25, 9:00 to 11:30 a.m.
Cost: $150, cameras are available for rent for a separate fee. Contact the instructor to reserve a camera ([email protected]). Or, students may use their own digital camera (with memory card).
Minimum class size: 5 Maximum class size: 10
