The first couple of days of school have been decidedly smooth, for which I'm grateful. It takes a team approach from parents, faculty, and staff to make everything work so well. Thank you all for the part you have played in this great beginning.
To keep things running smoothly, please note the following reminders.
Dropping Off and
Picking Up Students
1) Please remind your younger students (grades K-4 particularly) each morning about what your family's plan is for after school. Some need to wait for an older sibling one day, but not the next. Or, they might need to go to after-care two days out of five. Whatever the case, having a parent verbally remind them each day will help children feel more self-assured about their afternoon plans.
2) Please use your Dash Card during afternoon carpool.
3) If you're running LATE, please BRING your child to the front desk and SIGN him/her in. Please do NOT drop a student a the Varner Music & Arts Cottage. Students must be checked in whenever they arrive late or return from an appointment.
Monday, September 2, is Labor Day and a school holiday. Enjoy the long weekend!
