Thank You!
Thank you for your many donations of clothes, books, toys, furniture and so much more throughout the year. Thank you for your countless hours of volunteering to help unload, sort, sell, and clean up for the JRDS Parents' Association Yard Sale. Because of all of you, the Yard Sale was a huge success, earning over $12,000 for future PA projects which benefit the students, faculty, and staff.
Also, because of your wonderful generosity, we were able to contribute to several local non-profit organizations, including The Lighthouse, Miriam’s House, Park View Mission, the Dolly Parton Book Project, Lynchburg Grows, Lynchburg Humane Society, Camp Kum-ba-yah, and an orphanage in Cuenca, Ecuador. We also donated lamps to Camp Alleghany and sports equipment to Play It Again Sports. We only wish we could have given to more agencies in the area, but due to the lack of storage spaces at many of these organizations they were unable to accommodate our large influx of items.
The kindness and caring of the James River Day School community is amazing, and it certainly showed all last week! We could not have done it without all of you!
