I’m sure I was not alone in being startled and dismayed on Tuesday to learn of the closing of Holy Cross Regional Catholic School, slated for the end of this school year. It is a sad thing for our area to lose a school with such a long and storied history. I know you share my feelings of sympathy with the faculty, staff, students, and families of Holy Cross. They will need time to process this loss and the changes it will necessitate. Eventually, the Holy Cross families will need to make a new choice for their children. I believe James River presents an excellent option.
As members of the James River community, you are our best ambassadors. I have confidence that you can share our story and connect with the families of Holy Cross in a way which enables them to see the possibilities.
