Head Lines, a blog from Peter York, Head of School
As we wrap up our second set of parent conferences, I continue to be uplifted by the amazing degree of positivity shown by both our faculty and our parents. We have a true partnership with you, our parents, and the proof of that partnership is clear during conference time. While COVID-19 has presented us with many challenges, it has also brought our community together. We have done the right thing for our children. Everyone knows that and everyone appreciates it--students, faculty, and parents. Thank you again for your unwavering support of James River.
In other news, we’re going digital! Re-enrollment contracts for the 2021-2022 academic year will be made available during the week of February 1, and for the first time the entire process will be conducted electronically. This will streamline the re-enrollment process and eliminate some of the additional paperwork we normally send out in August, thus making the entire process significantly easier for our families.
Save the Date! I will be presenting a State of the School address on the evening of February 23. This will give me a chance to share with you a comprehensive overview of what the school has been able to accomplish this year in addition to our vision for the future. This will be a Zoom presentation, so you won’t even have to get dressed up or hire a babysitter. Spoiler alert--the state of the school is very good!
