It was quite a year at James River Day School. Along with the rest of the world, we were presented with a lifetime’s worth of challenges in a very short period of time. I am so pleased with how our school community rose to each of these challenges in a manner exemplifying our mission statement.
We are also proud of the success of this year’s Cardinal Annual Fund. For the first time in several years, we achieved our goal of $200,000. This much needed philanthropic support provided funds which allowed us to hire a school nurse, school guidance counselor, and two full-time faculty support professionals, who provided our faculty with necessary resources during a year filled with cohorts and no breaks. It also funded the difference that exists between tuition revenue funds and the actual cost of educating each student.
