What a joy it was to celebrate James River’s 50th anniversary last Friday evening! We were excited to welcome more than 350 guests to campus despite the rainy weather. Current students and families mingled with alumni families and faculty and staff, while enjoying a delicious meal and activities in the Carrington Field House. And I am proud of the leadership shown by our 8th graders, who volunteered to help run the games and activities in the gym.
James River Day School has provided a warm and welcoming community from the day our doors opened fifty years ago. Events such as these show that the spirit of community is still alive and well here at our school. We are grateful for all of you!
