Exciting Times

This is an exciting time of year at James River as we are in the midst of Admissions season. We have already received signed re-enrollment contracts for well over half of our current students and the deadline is still five days away (February 28). That rate of return is well ahead of previous years’ figures and is indicative of the positive feeling I get every day as I interact with students and parents. James River is a happy place to be - our students are cherished and challenged and thriving. Please don’t forget to get those contracts in by the deadline and secure your student's enrollment for next year!

During this re-enrollment and admissions season, we have also been conducting kindergarten testing of individual students since January and are holding group testing for prospective kindergartners today and tomorrow. The plan is to issue kindergarten contracts next week.

Interest in kindergarten has been high. When asked what factors influenced their decision to apply to James River, one parent had this to say:

"We admire the dedication of the teachers and administrators to the students. We love the classroom size and the personalized experience, the ability for each child to shine their own light, and the ever-changing styles of instruction, incorporating innovative teaching methods that encourage children to explore an even greater breadth of knowledge."

New students and families are the lifeblood of the school and we are very much looking forward to welcoming them into the James River community. We are profoundly grateful to you, our current families, for making the investment in a James River education and then spreading the word and sharing your James River story.
