Summer Programs

Join the summer fun at James River Day School! There are many opportunities for engaging enrichments (rising K through 8th grade), and James River offers our 8-week Summer Day Camp for kids in rising first grade through age 12.

The First Week of School

The last week has been a flurry of activity as we eagerly anticipated the arrival of our students yesterday. Thank you to our parent volunteers and amazing staff who helped make our events run smoothly.

The first day of school is always full of energy and excitement. After a joyous drop-off, first- through eighth-grade students attended a short opening assembly. We welcomed our new students to our community, reaffirmed our Cardinal Pledge (led by eighth graders Louise Morgan and Owen Petty), and recognized our eighth-grade student leaders who will help set the tone for the year.
