Over the last few days and weeks, we have seen the tremendous power of community, whether it was through the sheer number of attendees at the Fall Family Picnic (despite the weather), the outpouring of support during a time of loss, or support for those outside our area affected by the devastation of Hurricane Helene. Thank you for being a part of this community and showing up for the big moments and the little ones.
October is a typically challenging month in independent schools, particularly for faculty and staff. The weather is constantly changing, and faculty are working on administrative tasks outside their usual lesson planning and grading. Fortunately, the JRDS faculty support one another and help to make this time more manageable. Plus, there is a lot of candy at the end of the month to help celebrate!!
I hope everyone finds time to breathe and rest during this month of constant change.
