The last few weeks have challenged our community in many ways. I am proud of the flexibility and resilience of our faculty and staff and the love and support our community provides every day. Our students have also risen to the occasion as they navigated a change in the fourth-grade One Miler due to weather conditions and supported their beloved faculty members during times of loss. When I say that James River is a special place, it is in times of challenge that I am reminded of the empathy, kindness, and care that our community fosters in each other. I am proud to be a Cardinal every day, but the last few weeks have reminded me of all there is to be proud of!
Thank you to everyone who has provided words of encouragement and strength. You have shown the true heart of the JRDS community.
