Feeling the Energy of Spring

“Love and trust, in the space between what’s said and what’s heard in our life, can make all the difference in the world.” -- Fred Rogers

Spring has sprung at James River! While the weather might not be as warm as we would hope this time of year, the sunny skies are a welcome sight.

These next few weeks will become hectic with many spring events both on and off campus. Make sure that you are reading the weekly emails thoroughly, and keep an eye on your inbox for emails specific to your children’s grade levels.

In the meantime, here is a snapshot of some upcoming school-wide events:

  • Thursday, April 3 (5:30 to 7:30 p.m.): Riverviews Artspace (downtown) will host an opening reception for the K-8 Art Show. All students (K-8) will have a piece on display, so we encourage everyone to visit. More details are below.
  • Friday, April 4 (4:00 to 6:00 p.m.): JRDS Family & Friends Pre-Sale for the Parents Association Yard Sale. See below for the details.
  • Spring field trips are upon us, so please watch for emails from the division directors with details for those events.
  • Eighth-grade graduation and high school transition information will start appearing in inboxes over the next few weeks! It is a lot to keep track of, but we try to send information out in bite-sized increments for you. Look for the red rose in the weekly email as well.

Whew! Now, get out into the sunshine, and keep your energy up!

Let’s fly!
