We're Nearly There!

"Joy is not in things; it is in us.” --Richard Wagner

We look forward to welcoming everyone back to campus for the 2025-2026 school year. The James River community will once again be buzzing with activity and the sounds of children. We have missed the joy they bring to the building.

As we prepare for the week ahead, I wanted to send a few reminders to help everyone have a smooth start to the school year. In this week’s Thursday Email, you will find information about purchasing a hot lunch, physical and vaccination reminders, upcoming events like picture day, and reminders about drop-off and pick up.

A few reminders about the carpool line:

  • Enter the campus through the back entrance.
  • Please make sure that students are ready to exit the vehicle when you pull up to the front entrance.
Students must exit the vehicle on the passenger side.
  • Do not park or get out of your vehicle. Faculty and staff will assist with any larger items to help keep the line moving.
  • For younger students, help them learn to unbuckle their car seat or seatbelt before getting to the front of the line.
  • If students need help buckling in at dismissal, please pull into a parking spot adjacent to Boonsboro Road after moving through the pick-up area.
  • Please do not park and come into the school building during drop-off or pick-up times unless you have a scheduled appointment. Teachers are on duty during dismissal and cannot meet with you while supervising students.

Let’s Fly!
