“If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion.” -The Dalai Lama
The school year is starting off with a lot of positive energy. I have enjoyed getting to know our new students and faculty and seeing how much our returning students have grown in stature and maturity over the summer. It is one of my favorite parts of the beginning of the school year.
As we settle into our school routines and head into a long weekend (yay!), I want to give my annual reminder to remind you to give yourself and your children some grace in the coming days. The transition back to school requires a lot of physical and mental energy. For young people who are still learning how to regulate their emotions, they might be extra cranky, weepy, or tired. They might be extra hungry or need more sleep. This may also apply to the adults as well. Hopefully, the long weekend will be just what everyone needs to reset and recharge.
Let’s Fly!
