“We cannot direct the wind, but we can adjust the sails.” –Dolly Parton
Over the last few weeks, we have watched our students grow and thrive. They have shown resilience with the changing schedules and navigating indoor versus outdoor recess and breaks. They have shown curiosity as many students tried out for the middle school musical–many have never auditioned before and decided to try something new. All of our students have been rehearsing to showcase their creativity and public speaking skills for upcoming events. I love watching our students create boldly and grow courageously.
Tonight, we will host the annual Hall of States event, during which our second-grade students will demonstrate their research skills and public speaking abilities. This year marks the 41st Hall of States, and I cannot wait to see our kids in action. Mrs. Knapp and Mrs. Marks have prepared them well. Watching them prepare their research and present in such a fun way is a hallmark of the second-grade experience.
Next week, we will host our annual Grandparents and Special Friends Day on March 6, 2026. It is such a special event, and I have enjoyed watching all of our students prepare to showcase their talents for such honored guests. As a reminder, it is an early dismissal day for all of our students. Grandparents and Friends may check out students from their advisor or homeroom teacher at the conclusion of the program. There is no after-school programming that day.
Spring break is right around the corner!
Let’s Fly!
