Showcasing Our Joyful Community

This time of year is full of events that showcase our joyful community. Last week, we showcased our students’ visual art at Riverviews Artspace. If you missed the reception, you can still view the exhibit until April 19. The work our art teachers put into setting up the exhibit was remarkable, and the student performances helped to make the event more joyful.

This week, I had the opportunity to travel with the Class of 2026 to Washington D.C. This trip serves not only as a culminating educational experience but also as a bonding experience for our eighth graders before they graduate and matriculate to different high schools. As a class, they explored art, history, science and more. They also got to learn about other cultures and human experiences. I was beyond proud of our students for growing courageously and leading empathetically. They exemplified Cardinal Character in every situation.  On several occasions, a stranger commented to me about the exemplary character of our students versus other school groups. I also want to thank Mrs. Wright for resurrecting and organizing this trip and our chaperones, Mrs. Crowther, Mr. Anderson, and Mr. Oliver for giving so much time and energy to our students.

Tomorrow, we will gather for the Bird Bash at Tresca on 8th for a night of joy and revelry to support our Cardinal Annual Fund. I can't wait to end the week with you all.
