"Every time you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing.” -Mother Teresa
The Book Fair has been a huge hit this year, and I hope many of you will come to campus for family night tonight.
October is a great month for JRDS traditions, kicking off with the Fourth Grade One Miler. Our fourth graders have prepared well for the event, and I can’t wait to see the results of their hard work. We will end the month with our Halloween Parade and Carnival. Thank you in advance to the PA for helping make it a fun day for our students.
I am excited to announce an upcoming Spirit Week for the James River community. The week starts with two home games supporting our middle school athletes on October 13, and we will celebrate the end of Hispanic Heritage Month as part of our Spanish curriculum to round out the week. See below for more details.
This time of year also brings fluctuating weather. Students often discard layers as the day warms up. This is a good time to remind you to make sure your child’s name is on items of clothing. This helps us return items to your family from lost and found.
Let’s Fly!
