Fall Season Off to a Winning Start

Our Cardinals have started the fall season with great enthusiasm and success!

Our 5th/6th Grade Girls' Volleyball team started the ball rolling by beating the Lynchburg Home School Association Patriots on September 6.

Our Cross Country team competed in the Knights Crossing XC Invitational in Salem on Saturday, Sept. 9. The girls placed 14th out of 26 and the boys placed 17th out of 32. James River was the only school with fifth graders. Our future looks bright indeed!

Tuesday, Sept. 12, the Cardinals swept Timberlake Christian in soccer and volleyball. Soccer rolled to a 5-1 victory. Felix Lopez Valentine scored three, while Sawyer Tatum and Luke Meadows added one each.
In volleyball, our 5th/6th Grade Girls' Volleyball team won their match in three very exciting games. The 7th/8th Grade Girls' Volleyball team also won in two games. Both matches were very competitive.

The 7th/8th Grade Soccer team dominated Holy Cross Wednesday, Sept. 13, with a final score of 5-0. Sawyer Tatom scored twice with Clark Watts, Luke Meadows, and Felix Lopex Valentine each adding one goal apiece.
