Last fall, we celebrated the opening of new academic and play spaces that profoundly enrich our children's school experience. Let's finish what we started -- upgrading our athletic facilities to the level of our academic and play spaces.
We imagine a larger, newly designed athletic field that is configured for competition and provides ample practice space. Incorporating short-side fields provides flexibility while improving player engagement and skill development. Resurfacing our field house court will serve current and future generations with outstanding practice and game surfaces.

To allow generations of James River students reach their full potential, it is essential we provide them with the space and resources to thrive. Last Friday, we had a wonderful community celebration where the Cardinals Fly! campaign was announced; I am excited to share that we've raised almost twenty percent of the project costs.
