It's the time of year when we count our blessings and say thank you. Today's Thankful Hearts celebration was the perfect time to do this, and we have many reasons to be grateful. Here are just a few.

Kudos to Jen Brestel, April Tucker, Susannah Cox, and their cadre of volunteers for a job well done on the Canned Food Drive! It was so wonderful see what was collected to help families in need in our area.
Our goal this year was 7,500 cans. We collected 7,648!

The Thankful Hearts Feast was wonderful! Many thanks to Elizabeth Gill, Crystal Irby, and the numerous volunteers who made the feast such a wonderful event. The catering was top-notch ,and Market Off Main's staff was so accommodating when we thought we were going to have an icy morning. And, thank you to all those who thoughtfully donated desserts -- so much deliciousness!

Carrington Field House was filled with the James River community on Thursday, November 15, and we are indeed thankful to have it finished and ready to serve the needs of our students and community for many years to come. Thanks go to our Buildings & Grounds crew for all they did to set up, take down, run the shuttle, and so much more. Thank you to our fine faculty and staff, who always go above and beyond.

As I said at Thankful Hearts, I don't want to let another day go by without saying thank you to each person within the James River community. You are what makes our school so special. Happy Thanksgiving!
