Happy Valentine's! On Thursday, February 14, our kindergartners ran the traditional "Valentine's Store," offering paper flowers, baked goods, candy, back scratches, portraits, shoe polishing, and other wonderful Valentine treats for sale for just pennies! They even provided the pennies. Kindergarten parents and students from other grades shopped among the lovely goods & services, while the kindergartners acted as bankers, sales people, and craftspeople to fulfill all the roles involved. What a fun way to learn basic economics, plus other skills. Our Cardinal Buddy pairings of younger and older students also exchanged Valentine's cards. It was a good, if slightly hectic day.
