Mrs. Parker came to James River in February 2005, bringing a wealth of administrative and communications experience. In her career prior to James River, Ann had been the communication and administrative manager for a large church. Ann earned her bachelor's degree from the College of William and Mary. Today, she is James River's Director of Communications. She is also a member of the Administrative and Tech Support Teams.
Ann and her husband, Malcolm, have five children between them. Ann has three adult stepsons: Mac lives in North Carolina, Nic lives in Lynchburg, while Brian and his wife, Laura, live in St. Louis, Missouri. Her two youngest children, Neal and Emily, attended James River. Neal recently graduated from William and Mary with a double major in physics and biology. He lives in Arlington, where he is working and pursuing plans for his master's degree. Emily attends James Madison University, majoring in technical theater.
In her spare time, Ann follows her vocation as an artist, creating paintings, drawings, pottery, and small sculptures. She enjoys costume designing for local productions, gardening, photography, sewing, reading, and antiquing, and she serves on the board of the Lynchburg Area William & Mary Alumni Association Chapter.
