Tifany Briggs
Tifany Briggs joined the faculty of James River Day School in August 2023 as a fourth-grade teacher. Beginning in July 2024, Tifany became the Lower School Director for JRDS. She received her B.A.S. in elementary education in 1999 from the University of Minnesota and her M.S. in Special Education from St. Cloud State University in 2002. She has over twenty years of classroom experience in elementary and middle school grades with nine years spent providing support to students with special needs.
Tifany and her family relocated to Virginia when her oldest son enrolled at Liberty University. Tifany resides in Rustburg with her husband Nate, their two sons, and two dogs. In her free time, Tifany enjoys a good book and growing things.
Mrs. Briggs said this about choosing James River, “What began as a small idea to relocate [to Lynchburg] blossomed once I visited James River Day School. I felt at home and welcomed from the moment I walked through the door!”
