Grandparents & Friends Day 2025
Friday, March 7We are looking forward to welcoming Grandparents and Friends soon! Invitations were sent in early February to all grandparents and friends for whom we have current addresses. Electronic invitations were also emailed to those grandparents for whom we have a current email address. To update your email address or mailing address, please email Ann Parker.
An RSVP is requested for Grandparents & Friends Day. Please email Ann Parker (using the link above) or call the school (434-384-7385) to let us know you will be attending, giving us the full names of those attending (for name tags) and your grandchild's/grandchildren's names.

When do grandparents and friends need to arrive, and where do they go first?
Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. in Carrington Field House.

What events are planned?
The program begins at 9 a.m., runs a bit over an hour, and includes musical presentations by the students. After the program, grandparents are invited to join their grandchildren in the classrooms to meet the teachers and see all the wonderful student works!
Will there be shuttles as in prior years?
Yes, we will use a shuttle to help with parking and to help people with difficulties walking make the move from Carrington Field House to the main building after the program.

Where do we park? Will there be handicapped-accessible parking?
Park in the campus parking lots wherever possible. If you will need handicapped accessible parking, please let us know ahead of time, so we may reserve a space for you. For those with handicapped hang-tags or license plates, the lower lot in front of the gym will be reserved--go to the parking attendant for access.

Overflow parking will once again be across Boonsboro Road on Meriwether Road. A shuttle will circle through the various parking areas to help grandparents and friends get to and from our buildings. The shuttle will continue to run to make the return to your car easier at the end of the morning.
Grandparents & Friends Day is a half-day. All students will be dismissed at 11:30 a.m.
