James River Day School offers many options for summer 2025 that your child is sure to enjoy: week-long camps, our 8-week day camp, and more.

Heather Guard

Ms. Guard joined the faculty at James River in 2013. She teaches middle school science and has taught in the English department, as well. Heather received her Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Towson University. She later attained her Master of Arts in neurobiology from George Mason University and her Master of Education in science education through Lynchburg College. Heather has two children and lives in Lynchburg. In her free time, she enjoys nature, travel, and music.
