Madeline Smyczek

Madeline joined the James River Day School faculty in August 2024 as a teacher in second grade. Prior to coming to JRDS, Madeline taught in Lynchburg City Schools at T.C. Miller Elementary School for Innovation. Madeline earned her Bachelor of Science in Family and Child Development, and her Master of Arts in Teaching, both from Liberty University.

Madeline is originally from Vermilion, Ohio, but she moved to Lynchburg for college and fell in love with the mountains of Virginia. She currently lives in Boonsboro with her husband.
