Summer Programs

Join the summer fun at James River Day School! There are many opportunities for engaging enrichments (rising K through 8th grade), and James River offers our 8-week Summer Day Camp for kids in rising first grade through age 12.

Jeannie Heishman

Mrs. Jeannie Heishman joined the faculty in 2014 to teach fourth grade. In 2022, Jeannie became the school's Curriculum Coordinator, guiding our faculty in developing and updating our curriculum. Jeannie is an experienced teacher, serving most recently as a fourth-grade teacher at Amelon Elementary School from August 2005 to June 2014. Jeannie previously taught at independent schools in Texas and Tennessee.

Jeannie received her B.S. is in Elementary Education from Columbia International University, and she is certified PreK-6 in Virginia. Jeannie and her family reside in Forest.
