Ms. Lesko has worked as the Technology Coordinator at James River Day School since 2012. She began teaching K-7 technology courses and working as the coordinator for the Tech Team to provide support and training to faculty and staff.
As the technology needs of the school have grown with the transition to a 1:1 middle school environment, and iPads and Chromebooks in our K-4 classrooms, Ms. Lesko’s teaching duties have decreased to allow more time to support teachers in the classroom and manage the network infrastructure. However, Ms. Lesko’s joy remains teaching her middle school technology classes. “It is a privilege to teach and work in such a caring community, where students and teachers share a love for learning."
A Virginian, born and raised in Suffolk, Ms. Lesko graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.A. in psychology. After college, she worked as an event planner for a meeting planning company in New Jersey. Before moving to Lynchburg, Sarah lived in Gainesville, Florida and worked as a recruiter and trainer in human resources for the University of Florida.
Sarah is mother to three wonderful boys and their faithful dog.
