James River Day School offers many options for summer 2025 that your child is sure to enjoy: week-long camps, our 8-week day camp, and more.

Tatum Laing

Tatum joined the staff of James River Day School in August of 2024 as the Children’s Center Director. Tatum is originally from Charlottesville, VA, and moved to Lynchburg in 2021 after graduating from Concord University in West Virginia, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in social work. She currently works as a preschool teacher at St. John’s Day School. And is looking forward to working on her Master’s in Education.

In her free time, Tatum enjoys spending time going to concerts, listening to music (especially Taylor Swift), reading books, and learning new art and craft skills. She also loves traveling and visiting as many aquariums as possible!

She is looking forward to making aftercare and summer camp a fun and exciting place to be!
