Happy Summer! We had our final farewell for our eighth graders at graduation, which is always a bittersweet moment. We are so proud of our eighth graders and look forward to hearing of their future successes in high school and beyond!

Highlighting the Arts at JRDS We are so proud of our musicians, actors, and artists who explore and showcase their talents here at James River Day School.
Our School Community and Our Greater Community This is only the second year that Field Day has been a whole school event, and it was such a joy to watch all of our students get the opportunity to be kids. We are also excited to partner with Wild Ones (formerly Blue Ridge Conservation) to begin planting a native garden at the front of campus. These gardens are not only intended to beautify our campus but also to support pollinators in our area.
The Countdown Begins This time of year moves quickly. With all of the events and festivities, it starts to feel a bit like a checklist as we count down to the last days of school. We thank all of our volunteers and the P.A. who help make these events a success.
Showcasing Our Joyful Community Our eighth graders had the opportunity to travel to Washington D.C. This trip serves as both an educational experience as well as a bonding experience before they graduate and matriculate to different high schools.
